I agree Greg, but I think the key is to integrate one's ability to overcome an objection seamlessly into a conversational tone. Just because one is attempting to win new business does not mean we have to become a typical salesperson--always remember, the best customer is one who appreciates you and what you do--if they don't, it will become an adversarial relationship.

Hi Preston,
I like your comment about always making a mistake in a sales call.
Salespeople are human. Things get overlooked.
That's why it is so important to know how to overcome sales objections so that the sales call does not flounder when mistakes are made.

Marilyn, I suggest you 'clear your cache' and refresh your browser. In Internet Explorer, go to Tools>Internet Options>Delete. After doing this try to login--you should be good to go! Preston Ehrler, Webvantix

I find it refreshing to hear someone else say in plain English that, hey, you can do better with your business, use the tools that are out there, but it also take a lot of hard work. Very refreshing!

Thanks for your ebullient passing on of this book. I appreciate the author's serious yet informal tone as manifest in the video. I'm all for making the seemingly high brow (in my world, art) accessible, and (like Vaynerchuk) rarely pass up the chance to use the word "viscosity." The JETS spit bucket adds a special je ne sais quoi...

To answer a few of your questions: yes, my website sucks, and will at least until I can amortize -- as you say further down -- a better one, but I am passionate about what I do!

Cheers (swish, spit).

I found the option in iSync and changed it. I'll verify it on the next sync but it looks like that should do it. Thanks for the help. I don't know why it is not in the iTunes preferences.
