Social Media and Blogging Reading Suggestions   As we do every week, here are a handful of blog posts that you may find valuable for your business or your blog (or both), along with a book recommendation that is proving itself to be valuable to us! Blogs Ten Qualities of Social Media Superstars, Mari Smith If your blog is not getting the traffic or attention you want, take a look at what Mari talks about in this post, then ask yourself, "Do I possess all ten of these qualities?" A GREAT post! The Completely Redesigned Evernote Firefox Extension, Evernote If you're an Evernote lover (hint, it the multi-device information storage locker you always wanted), they've updated their Firefox extension with several slick new attributes you will love. Is Your Business Maximizing Facebook, Social Media Examiner Although an advertisement for their upcoming Facebook Summit (we have no affiliation), this is a great little primer for what's recently changed in Facebook and an overview of their summit. Additionally, you can view a free online class "Facebook News Feed Optimization: How to Dramatically Increase Your Visibility and Engagement." How to Outfit the iPad 2 to Make Typing Easier, Walt Mossberg iPads are great for reading, but not so good for entering text. Here are a few recommendations to make it easier. Feedburner vs. Aweber, Do You Really Need an Autoresponder for Your Blog? Problogger Great post that breaks down why you should have both (I commented on this post several times) Books Clout, by Colleen Jones [caption id="attachment_2113" align="alignleft" width="200" caption="Clout, by Colleen Jones"][/caption]   Clout is a book I'm in the middle of reading right now, and from the very beginning it struck me as, "not just another marketing book."  While we've all heard that content is king, and I agree that content is very, very important, but content married to a quality layout and great functionality rules all, Colleen takes us deeper into the understanding of content, and shows us specific examples, therefore allowing for several, ah-ha moments. You can also read my recent mini-review of Clout: Is Professional Content Worth Your Money? If you're a blogger for your business, this is well worth the time and money! Hope this little bit helps! Blog Reading Suggestions I did not want the full weekend to pass by without making a few suggestions for weekend reading.  I've found that Sunday evenings are a great time to start to get back into work mode--but only a bit.  My boss at Merrill Lynch, who saw a negative-connotation to how people felt about Sunday evenings and going back to the grind on Monday mornings, called it the "60 Minutes Syndrome."  Perhaps you, as the readers of this blog, can comment on when you would like The Webvantix Suggestionator delivered; what do you think:  Friday afternoon, or Sunday evenings?  Let us know your thoughts and I'll listen...here are this weekend's suggestions: Blogs My Top 10 Sales Tips, New York Times, You're the Boss How to Promote Your Blog in the Media, ProBlogger 2 Step Verification, The Official Google Blog Why Beiber SEO Copywriting Sex Doesn't iPad Work Mine Craft (Yes, that's the real title), ProBlogger How to Turn Your Blog Traffic Into Money, ProBlogger I hope you find these posts interesting and useful.  Be sure to let me know your thoughts on delivery of this post topic.  Readers have told me they love the suggestions, as they are both timely and topical.  Now I just have to dial in the optimum delivery schedule.
